Nuzlocke Diamond ep. 11

BACKWARDS || FIRST || FORWARDS

Heyyyy look, another update! And this one didn't take me a ridiculously long time, either! Though, episode 12 might be a long time coming, seeing as I should probably try and devote more time to my BSC round 2 entry asfjk.

SO HERE, HAVE KIND OF A FILLER ENTRY. Not much happens in this one. Except the confrontation between Sonata and Zoey, which I'm thinking was probably gonna be a given? I've been planning it for a while, anyway. I mean, if I were a Zubat, which doesn't learn Wing Attack until lv. 17, and suddenly my trainer was doting on the Murkrow she just caught, who is all around a much more powerful pokemon, I'd be pretty upset.

I felt bad, though, because I love Zoey so much (at this point in-game, she was a slightly irrelevant pokemon, but scripting her in the comic has brought me so much closer to her,) making Esper sort of ignore her in this episode, but Esper isn't doing it on purpose; she doesn't even realize she's doing it.

Also, for such a grump, Sonata is being surprisingly nice to Zoey.

On a technical note, I feel like this episode took me, like, three thousand years less time than most of the other more recent ones, even WITH the massive color panel lineup, (I feel like that's the most I've put into photoshop coloring ever trololol. OH GOD JOSH'S FIRE. Least favorite thing to draw ever.) And I think it is very much due to the fact that I went easy on the panels. I really do know that my paneling was getting out of control, guys, so I'm hoping that this is generally a little better. Feedback? Opinions?
