Description

"Waka, the gods' gift to man, has arrived! Bonjour!"

...

Well, ~shanree will've probably seen this coming, seeing as we routinely discuss our adoration for this character. 8D

And anyone who has played Okami, even for just a few hours, should be familiar with him.

First of all, I must apologize to =Ribbontail, as I know she is not a fan of this game. But I believe it is an amazing feat of gaming genius, and not because of all the "wolf-desu" stuff surrounding it. The wolftards like it because its main character is portrayed as a wolf, I like it because it's story and landscaping is beautiful. And the fact that it came from a small developer (we still love you, Clover, even if you were dissolved by Capcom,) only adds to my love for it. This is a game that I have yet to get tired of, as each time I progress through it, I find something new. The incomprehensible size of the land you are given to freely roam is larger even than that of Twilight Princess, from tiny villages to beautiful forests and valleys to sprawling cities, and even snow-covered mountains, it is simply massive.

Aaaand the fact that it includes one of the most amazing video game characters ever to be created is, of course, a plus.

Enter: Waka.
...C'mon, people, he has a flute that turns into a lightsaber, and he spontaneously bursts into bouts of french. Even if his outfit is ridiculous, (the first time my mom saw it she laughed and said, "what's with the clown clothes?") He makes up for his horrible fashion sense with wit and cunning. Plus, his backstory, to me, is simply divine. (No pun intended, for those of you who know it.)

...but enough ranting.

I've decided that, rather than learn the Okami art style, I prefer to "Oki-fy" (if you will,) the characters, to see how they would look in my style. (And with proper body proportions.)
Also, it seems widely believed that Waka's eyes, were he to open them, would be blue. So blue they are!
And, if you watch his first fight introduction in the game, you will notice that he does indeed, at least for that moment, hold his two swords with a reverse grip.

Alright, I'm done now.

Waka is © to the people at Clover studios, (which is now Seeds, Inc., I believe...)
